We’re under attack, oh hi my name is Will and I’m going to talk to you about the alien that we had in our grade today he was pretty small but did he put up a fight. No I’m just kidding today Josh.S brought one of his three Test Tube Aliens from home and we had a massive talk on it. As Mr.Pearce read through the instructions and all the people on the floor in clouding Josh we were thinking in our minds saying Mr.Pearce just skip the instructions and just make the alien come to life. So we started finally! So there it was sitting on the table, we put in some water until we cold see the alien, and we kept on poring it in until it started to flash a green light. Then we just left it there till the cocoon went away and we could see the Test Tube Alien sitting there, once we had seen it we pored the water out until there was no water at all in the tube. Then we kept on re-filling it and tipping it out 7 times in a row, until there was no more cocoon or silky stuff in the tube. Then we got 150ml’s of water and put the first serving of it’s disgusting food and put it in the water, we stirred it up and we put the food and water in the tube and left the alien sitting there over the lunch period. When we got back in from lunch brake one of our students Nick.B told the whole grade that the alien had grown but when Josh.S went and had a look at it he said “It hasn’t grown at all”. After all of this the grade had a big debate over who was going home with the alien for the weekend, it ended up being that Josh.S would take it home because he was the more experienced on then the rest of us so he took it home. In Middle P one of our students Patrick has torn a muscle on the outside of his calf and is limping anywhere he walks, and went to the physio today. He also struggles to do sport so he is having a break from the Tuesday and Friday sports, he had done whilst playing Basketball after school on Wednesday, and he’s still playing but he’s still walking.

In World War 1 Australia and New Zealand went to fight Turkey, in Gallipoli they arrived in the morning and they got off their ships and they walked around the beach. But they did not know that the Turkish were waiting for them up in the cliff tops as soon as they were comfortable they started shooting rapidly at the Australians and New Zealenders.

The war went on for quite a while Four years I think but they came up with an agreement on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the guns would fall silent.

On the 11/11/06 Australian’s have a remembrance day, to remember the Australian’s that went to war and fought for their country being Australia. Some people wear red poppies because when the soldiers died poppies started growing on the battle-field and they’re red, and just before one minutes silence they play the Last Post on the Bugle.  On Monday the 6/11/06 Josh.S in Middle P brought in some rocks with minerals in them just like this one called an Amethyst. Do you think that the white  stuff looks like the out line of Australia a bit, if it was squeezed it in a bit. To get this nice smooth look look you have to get it cut and polished. They’re quite a few around if you go on long Queensland bush walks.

In middle p every day we call the roll, except for Tuesday and Friday that’s when we have sport. We get given a subject and then we go through the roll and everybody says a word, We have two letters todays were O-P and our subject was matter we started at the top of the roll. In middle p they’re 20 students all hard working of course, we also get to use technology like Smart-Boards, Ipods, Mac Mini and a lot of other things.

In Middle P we’re learning about Matter, same as the other middle class’s. We’re focusing on the four Elements Solids, Liquids, Gases, Plasmas and not so much on Boast Einstein Condensates. We have been doing experiments with the wizard of all of this Mr. John Pearce. In other news Middle P’s old student teacher Meredith Mosley had a birthday so she came back over to Middle P to say hello, she brought Vanilla and Chocolate Cup cakes for us to celebrate. We sang Happy Birthday to You with the Hip Hip Hooray’s and I don’t think we clapped because it would just take way to long, no I’m Just kidding she is a lovely young woman.
